NYU had their commencement ceremony held at Yankee Stadium yesterday. The New York Post reported this morning that a student was ejected from his own graduation after he tried running the bases. Security tackled him just mere steps from home plate (See hilarious picture on your left where William Lopez reaches for home plate).
My first reaction to this story is extreme jealousy that my college commencement wasn't held some place awesome like Yankee Stadium.
My second reaction is pure horror at the fact that it's been 3 yrs since I've graduated... so nearly 3 yrs since I've moved to New York City in June 2005.
My third reaction is that someday I want to be one of the grounds crew guys that does the YMCA dance at the top of the 7th inning at the new Yankees stadium. Are they taking applications?
